ARTIST. FACILITATOR. SPEAKER.

Being Secure with the Unknown

As a facilitator my aim is to create a safe and equal space for everyone. This applies in when working as a facilitator, teacher, speaker or as an artist. I challenge my customers to not only think about their organizational questions but also expand their views on the society surrounding us. My motto when making art, facilitating strategic workshops or giving a keynote speeches is Being Secure with the Unknown.

"Nanna is a tough, but gentle coach who knows how to work even in challenging situations, e.g. using visual methods. The best thing about Nanna's coaching was that every time we met, I felt that I was making progress in my long-term goals." Mia Pyykönen, COO at Kiho | Board Member, eMBA, MSc

Photography-based Strategic Facilitation brings magic to the ordinary

We all know how to take pictures. In fact, we share billions of photos every day. As art-based business facilitator I take inspiration from this and bring the magic of photography into the everyday work life. This magic breaks communication barriers between people, provides a safe space for open conversations, and creates situations where everyone has a voice. Photography makes the invisible visible and it gives the opportunity to see and deal with things that are essential for doing the work, such as ownership of one's own work, communication, trust, cooperation and common understanding and motivation to work. The mixing of different fields, professions and ideas is of paramount importance in terms of future working life, innovation and competitiveness. Harnessing photography is an effective tool for learning empathy skills and developing organizations.

We dream and remember our life events as pictures

Maybe that's why we want so many pictures and also art around us. It is therefore justified to ask why not use images in reforming work life as well. I have facilitated hundreds of workshops and coached thousands of clients, e.g. on vision, mission, values and strategy, mergers, leadership, teamwork, future visions and threats, and organizational culture. I utilize photography-based facilitation method called Neemo™ Method, which I developed in early 2010s.

You know your objectives

Professionally executed facilitation helps you to achieve your goals. Neemo™ Method workshops provide immediate and lasting benefits whether you are developing a new strategy or want to involve entire work community. Neemo™ Method

Neemo™ Method was created in the 2010s by one of Finland’s best-known photographic artists, Nanna Hänninen. She created this innovative Neemo™ Method after realizing that the potential of pictures was an unused superpower for the improvement of organizational development.

"After reaching a certain point in my career, I came up with an idea of a new and creative way to utilise art in business life. I developed conceptual photographic art-based facilitation for the needs of future working life, where creativity and inclusiveness would be the core of organizational development. With this I can bring storytelling, dialogue and art as such into the center of working life." Nanna Hänninen
